Philosophy

ESCAVO’s work began in sepsis, one of the most difficult challenges in medicine, and a condition that impacts over 166 million people and takes over 21 million lives globally each year.

The company was founded after the loss of our founder’s mother to sepsis, with the goal of creating a practical clinical resource to help healthcare professionals recognize and manage this condition more effectively. That effort became the Sepsis Clinical Guide mobile app, which grew into a leading sepsis treatment reference app for clinicians worldwide.

Today, sepsis remains central to ESCAVO’s identity and efforts, but not the limit of its work. The same challenges that make sepsis difficult to manage also define much of acute care: rapid decisions, complex workflows, evolving evidence, diagnostic uncertainty, and the need for practical tools at the point of care. Our aim is to support clinicians and healthcare innovators across sepsis, emergency medicine, critical care, and related acute-care fields.

Our mission is to improve acute-care decision-making and innovation by connecting trusted clinical knowledge, frontline clinician perspectives, and practical digital tools.

The Team

ESCAVO brings together medical, product, content, and technology expertise to build resources for clinicians and support healthcare organizations developing products for acute-care settings. Our work is physician-led and grounded in real clinical workflows, with a focus on sepsis, emergency medicine, critical care, and related areas where timely decisions and practical tools matter most.

Founder Message

What began as a personal mission to help clinicians recognize and manage sepsis more effectively became the Sepsis Clinical Guide, and eventually grew into a broader effort to support clinical decision-making across acute care. Today, through the Escavo Clinical Expert Network, we’re ensuring that the clinicians who deliver care have a direct voice in shaping the products and technologies they use every day.

My background spans medicine and engineering, with experience in digital health product development, clinical AI, and healthcare product strategy. I’ve spent my career at the intersection of clinical practice and technology, working to build tools that make a real difference at the point of care.
